1. Who provides Stamp Stat
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and:
Malte HedderichFriedensstr. 4
61476 Kronberg im Taunus
Germany
Email: support@stampstat.com
Phone: +49 6173 9997464
“Stamp Stat,” “we,” and “us” mean the provider above. “App” means the Stamp Stat iOS app. “Services” means the App and the account, location, website, and support services we provide with it.
Our Imprint contains our public service-provider information.
2. Agreeing to these Terms
These Terms govern your use of the Services. When the App shows the agreement notice, choosing a sign-in method or continuing with email means you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not continue or use the Services.
You may agree only if you can enter a binding contract under the law that applies to you. If that law requires a parent or guardian to agree for you, they must review and agree to these Terms and supervise your use.
Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA) separately governs your licence to use the App. If the two agreements conflict about that licence, the Standard EULA controls. Mandatory law always applies.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. It is separate from these Terms.
3. What Stamp Stat does
Stamp Stat lets you keep a private travel history on your iPhone and turn it into collectible Stamps, Goals, and a Travel Score.
You can add a past visit yourself or create a Verified visit using a current-location reading. “Verified” only means that the App applied its location checks. It is not official or independent proof of travel, presence, or a right to be in a place.
The App calculates Stamps, Goals, and Travel Score from your current travel history and the current catalog. These results can change when your history or the catalog changes.
Stamp Stat is not a map, route tracker, navigation service, emergency service, or official travel record. Do not rely on it for safety, border, immigration, insurance, employment, tax, or other regulated decisions.
4. Your account and travel data
You need a Stamp Stat account to use the App. You can sign in with an email code, Apple, or Google. Use only information and accounts you are entitled to use. Protect access to your email, sign-in account, and iPhone. Tell us promptly if you think someone has used your Stamp Stat account without permission.
Confirmed visits are backed up to your account and sync automatically between iPhones signed in to that account. Some features remain available offline. The Privacy Policy explains what is stored on your device and with your account.
You can export your travel history and delete visits, all travel data, or your account in the App. Deleting travel data can also remove related Stamps, completed Goals, and Travel Score. Deletion is permanent once it completes.
Check an export or travel card before sharing it. The person or service you share it with controls its copy. Deleting the App or your Stamp Stat account does not cancel an Apple subscription.
5. Free use and Stamp Stat Unlimited
The App is free to download. Your first ten Stamps earned from travel history are free. Stamps awarded for completing Goals do not count toward the ten. “First” is based on when you added the visit that earned a Stamp, not the visit’s travel date.
If you change or delete travel history, your Stamps and which ten are free can change. Stamps beyond the free ten are sealed: their artwork is hidden and their points do not count toward Travel Score. Goals can show progress but do not complete from sealed Stamps.
You can keep recording, exporting, and deleting travel history without paying. Stamp Stat Unlimited unseals all earned Stamps and includes them in Goals and Travel Score. Sealing or unsealing rewards does not change your travel history.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Stamp Stat offers two in-app purchases:
- Stamp Stat Unlimited (Lifetime) is a one-time purchase. It has no recurring charge or set expiry date.
- Stamp Stat Unlimited (Yearly) is an auto-renewing subscription. Each billing period lasts one year. It renews for another year until you cancel.
Both purchases unlock the same features. Apple shows the price, currency, and any tax information that applies to you before you confirm. The price in Apple’s purchase sheet is the price you agree to pay.
Apple handles payment and renewal through your Apple Account. We do not receive your full card or bank details. For Yearly, Apple charges you when you subscribe and at each renewal.
You can cancel Yearly at any time in Settings > your name > Subscriptions or through Manage subscription in the App. Cancellation stops future renewals. Unlimited normally stays active until the end of the paid period. Deleting the App or your Stamp Stat account does not cancel Yearly.
A purchase belongs to the Apple Account used to buy it, not your Stamp Stat account. Use Restore purchases in the App to ask Apple to restore an eligible purchase. A purchase awaiting approval unlocks nothing until Apple confirms it.
If Yearly expires, or Apple refunds or revokes either purchase, the paid rewards seal again when the App detects the change. Your travel history and its export and deletion controls remain available.
For a refund or withdrawal request, use Apple’s Report a Problem or another route Apple provides in your country. This does not limit mandatory rights you may have against us. Contact support@stampstat.com if a paid feature is not supplied or does not work as promised.
7. Location information
We use Amazon Location Service to suggest places and name Verified visits. Its location information can be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Amazon Location can use third-party providers and process request details outside the AWS region. Our Privacy Policy explains what information is sent.
Amazon Location data sources
Read Amazon Location Service data sources and attribution for its current providers and required notices.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the Services unlawfully or violate another person’s rights;
- access or try to access another person’s account or local data;
- disrupt, overload, or bypass security, sign-in, request limits, the paywall, purchase checks, or the App’s intended operation;
- automate location requests; copy, save, scrape, or resell provider results outside the App; or use them to build a separate location database;
- introduce malware or interfere with another person’s use of the Services;
- present a visit, Stamp, Goal, Travel Score, export, or travel card as official or independently verified proof; or
- copy, redistribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the App, catalogs, or artwork except where law or Apple’s Standard EULA permits it.
We may apply reasonable request limits to protect security, capacity, and access to our providers. You must not try to avoid those limits.
9. Service changes, availability, and updates
We may change Stamp and Goal definitions, artwork, point values, or catalog content to fix errors, reflect geographic or provider changes, protect rights, maintain security or compatibility, or add and improve features without changing the App’s main purpose. A change can affect your rewards or progress.
We will not change an ongoing paid service arbitrarily. A change beyond what is needed to keep it working as agreed will have a valid reason and no extra cost. Where consumer law requires it, we will clearly explain the change in advance and tell you about any right to end the contract.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may temporarily limit an online feature for maintenance, security, provider failure, abuse, capacity, or legal reasons. This does not remove your mandatory rights if the Services are not supplied or do not work as agreed.
Install updates that iOS makes available. We will provide updates, including security updates, for as long as the contract and applicable law require. If we plan to end a material paid feature or the Services, we will give reasonable advance notice where practicable and provide any remedy required by law.
10. Ending use and suspension
You can stop using the Services, sign out, or delete your account at any time. Cancelling Yearly is separate and is explained in section 6.
We may restrict an account or online feature when reasonably needed to stop a serious breach of these Terms, protect users or providers, prevent fraud or abuse, or comply with law. A restriction will be proportionate. Unless urgent action or law prevents it, we will tell you why and give you a reasonable chance to resolve the issue.
Because the App requires an account, a restricted or invalid account can prevent you from opening travel history stored on your iPhone. Contact support if that happens. Your mandatory rights and remedies remain in place.
11. Ownership and your information
We and our licensors own the App, website, catalogs, artwork, designs, text, software, and related intellectual-property rights. Apple’s Standard EULA gives you the licence to use the App. These Terms do not transfer our content or provider data to you.
You keep any rights you have in the travel information you enter. You give us only the permission needed to provide the Services as described in the Privacy Policy. This does not give us a general right to publish your travel history.
12. Your consumer rights and our liability
Your mandatory rights for digital products remain in place. Depending on the law that applies, you may ask us to provide or fix the Services, reduce the price, end the contract, or reimburse you. Contact us if the Services are not supplied or do not work as agreed.
We do not limit our liability where the law does not allow it. This includes deliberate misconduct, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, fraudulently hidden defects, an express guarantee, and mandatory product liability.
For ordinary negligence, we are liable if we break an essential duty that makes this agreement possible and on which you may normally rely. In that case, liability is limited to the loss that was foreseeable and typical when the agreement was made. Any further limit applies only where the law allows it.
Nothing in these Terms removes a consumer remedy or changes a burden of proof where that would be unlawful.
You remain responsible for travel, safety, border, visa, immigration, tax, insurance, employment, and other real-world decisions. Stamp Stat and its location information do not replace official records or professional advice.
13. Governing law and disputes
German law applies. If you are a consumer, you keep the mandatory protections of the country where you usually live.
Courts have jurisdiction as set by mandatory law. These Terms do not require arbitration. We first try to resolve complaints directly. Contact support@stampstat.com.
14. Changes to these Terms
We will post the current Terms at stampstat.com/terms with their effective date and version. Changes apply from their effective date, not retroactively. We will give advance notice, ask for consent, or keep an earlier term in place where the contract or law requires it. Continued use does not replace consent where consent is required.
If one clause cannot be enforced, the remaining clauses continue where possible.
